Why You Might Want To Switch To A Bar Soap

There’s something extravagant about a bar soap. It spoils you silly at luxury hotels and makes you feel rather relaxed at home.

For one, the packaging is always pretty. Many brands wrap theirs with paper in gorgeous prints, some even having the designs revamped from time to time. So the experience begins before you hop into the bath.

Bar soaps also smell better for longer. Most body gels are a little cloying on the nose and leave a sticky residue on the skin (read: artificial). But for beauty and bodycare brands that offer bar soaps, no effort is spared in the production of these tiny blocks or spheres, from natural ingredients to soothing aromas.

Finally, bar soaps are more environment-friendly. They are smaller in size hence easier and cheaper to transport. They also use about 20 times less energy in terms of packaging production. We also use six times less of bar soaps than liquid soaps every wash. The only drawback: we use more water when washing with bar soaps.

Meanwhile, excuse us while we go bar soap-shopping.
